The increase in student population in the UK has helped to drive demand for rented accommodation, often in the form of new blocks of student flats. Similarly, demand for retirement housing is high and this is set to continue as the 65 and over age group increases. Electract has worked on projects in the Multiple Occupancy sector for the last 20 years or so, and we continue to offer the benefit of our expertise on new projects, often providing complete design and install packages for the schemes. Recent projects include:

  • Wolsey Mill, Leicester- conversion of a former textile warehouse for housing & regeneration group LHA-ASRA, into 62 extra-care apartments & 40 affordable homes.
  • Vaughan Way, Leicester- New 8-storey, 82-bed student accomodation for Nightstone Properties.
  • South Lodge Care Home, Leicester- a community of 87 apartments and suites for Signature Lifestyle.
     
  • The Towers Student Accomodation for Loughborough University- Rewire of locally listed tower blocks, containing 310 Bedrooms in two linked blocks ( 20-storey and 17-storey ).
  • Villiers Hall Student Accomodation- 581-bed development including a Facilities building, for the University of Leicester
  • Loveday Street Student Accommodation, Birmingham- 604 beds in 2 blocks for Derwent Living, for universities in Birmingham.
  • Faraday Road Student Accommodation, Phases 1 & 2- A total of 706 bedrooms for the University of Nottingham. 
  • Luxury Apartments former Hooley’s Site, Nottingham- 159 apartments for City Homes
  • Student Accomodation, Bridge Street, Buxton- 283 bed development for the University of Derby.
